About Me Born in 1957 and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin for 33 years before moving to Rockton, IL. I have been in Rockton, Roscoe and South Beloit area for 17 years. Yes, I am 50 years to be exact. I thought 50 was old, because my parents were old when I was growing up. I was the last of four siblings, the baby of the family as they say. My sister was the baby of the family for 8 years. My Mother was not going to be able to have more children after having her ovaries removed several years prior. Well, here is what my family told me as I was growing up. My Mother called me her miracle child, and my sister said, "I begged and prayed for years to have a baby sister and my dreams and wishes came true." The Doctors said, must have been storingthat egg in there all that time. I would believe the doctors reasoning. My Brothers of which I have two and my sister sister were all ready married and gone from home by the time I was 10. I spent a lot of time with older people in my life, at the same time had nieces and nephews to play with. My Dad was the entrepreneur of the family. He owned a foundry and a tavern. My Mom ran the Tavern so she must have had the entrepreneur spirit in her as well. So I guess that is where I get my drive to have my own business. I thought my Dad was hard on me growing up and sometimes I thought I hated him for the things he said and did or did not say or do. But, he was one of my biggest supporters when I started my first company. After my Dad retired we spent a great deal of time together and I got the chance to know him. Before he died I told him, now I understand all the whys and I thank you. I learned to thank the Great Spirit for my health and well being, never to look down at the less fortunate. To love all people, and to understand their whys, and most of all respect and care for the planet earth enjoy all its beauty and what it has to offer. I have spent a great amount of time traveling places and meeting people. This could be why I get along with others. My Older Brother has always been in Retail Sales. My other Brother was always taking things apart and building things he is a mechanic and welder. He owns his own shop. When I was young I would spend time at his house working in his shop on cars, yes I was a little grease monkey. When I met my husband I was rebuilding a 69 Chevy, and I had just sold my 68 Chevy. He was racing late models and I started working with him on his race car.
